As you progress through the civ stage, actions will give a lot more population. In fact, after every 500 population, you can upgrade your village to a city.
What does “sophisticated” in the culture box mean?
All 38 new citizens are human, and 25 of the farmers have been replaced with humans (technologies are advancing fast, I have to hustle to reach the collapse on time). I believe that brings the total human population to 95. 4 humans become soldiers in Laestrygon, while 4 do the same in Xirimiri. 10 go into each of the food-producing occupations.
All of the humans in Laestrygon research cartography again. Gerla researches camouflage, while Xirimiri researches faster catamarans (welcome to the arms race). The traders, healers and the 23 neanderthal fishermen of Laestrygon travel to Tarkahmehd and exchange chickens for goats so we can make omelettes. The goatherds and neanderthal farmers of Laestrygon work to improve shields.
Should I make a spreadsheet to keep track of the population by location, species and occupation? It’s getting hard to keep track of.
