as a whole, as an infection, or as an infected entity?

I guess as a whole. 343 would most likely be able to delete the whole SCP in all forms, but what about other Entities?

other than 343, which, why would he do that either, A: he made it for a reason, or b: he didn’t make it and doesn’t want to touch it with a 39.5 foot pole, only the SCP the foundation used to delete 682 would work, and they’d have to do a lot of work for that to succeed first. even then, it still might pull a 682 and become a non-entity that can do whatever it belgium well pleases, so i’d advise against doing that. keep in mind though, that’s only using my knowledge of existing scps.

what would happen if we trapped all forms of 8610 in a pocket dimension, for instance 106’s pocket dimension?

1: you’d have to clear the entirety of every internet and intranet of all info regarding 8610, including this site

2: you’d have to make sure not a single drop of 8610 juice or 8610 gas is anywhere you don’t have fully contained and restricted.

3: you’d have to find and relocate or kill every single 8610 instance.

4: and boom, 8610 temporarily removed from your dimension

Can 8610 survive in space unprotected?

Were they inside the facility when they got infected?

As a cognitohazard or as a strand of DNA? As per previously established lore it is not something that has any way to get in a cell from not in any cell, and has to get transferred by blood, -3 fluid, or -4 gas if you don’t want to use the cognitohazard part for propagation, so to be alive it must have at least one host cell, so the answer depends on what you call ‘shielding’

i just realized this says should, not could.

I meant as the physical catgirl form

~30 seconds then, just like a normal human, cats don’t exactly have any more or les adaptations against the vacuum of space. however, if put under enough metaphorical pressure and little enough physical pressure, they will be able to survive a vacuum, however, further testing is needed to see what, if anything, would prevent them from surviving the vacuum of space, as it is unknown how a gaseous lifeform would react to a vacuum

I kind of expected it to survive for longer, considering the SCPs abilities.

Now, could SCP-8610 infect SCP-343?

from the perspective of someone who already is infected with 8610 and doesn’t want to change that, 343 is already infected, from the perspective of anyone who doesn’t want to be infected, 343 cannot get infected, as all sentients perceive 343 similar to how they want to perceive themselves.

Since I don’t recall Computed making giving us any information on 8610’s danger status, what do you think it’d be? Appolyon?

Do you Mean Object Class?
Because if you do, Then I would guess Euclid.

Considering that it’s a very easily spreading SCP, i’d think it would be atleast Keter.

I mean 8610 as the infohazard-esque thing.

yeah they got confused and breached 8610 instead of 610

So they had no idea of this infection which has infested an entire facility wing? I guess that 8610 is still rather new in facility records then.

Or they were the ones that caused the infestation…

So anyway, what happened to that insurgent? Are they just a background character?
