it seems like body modification in any way is pretty common amongst SCP-8610 instances

i suppose its a bit of sampling bias. most active researchers here are those who are transfem, and it is quite likely that this is why we are so open to body modification, we have already done it with hormones!
most of the other infected researchers are too busy with other things.

Actually… They did. One of the staff that makes the food was taken with poisoning my coffee, and he put 700 mg of caffeine into my normal coffee cup before pouring in the coffee. Keep in mind this cup is one of those tall and wide thick glass cups with a handle, so not exactly a coffee cup, but it’s what I use as one.

Anyways, as a result I felt like a kid who’s just finished their first cup of coffee, and had it be death wish coffee, and it was shortly after becoming a -2 instance, so that’s what caused all the lights in the building to break and all the walls that I have the credentials to reach to need repairs like, a month after the 8610 outbreak.

ok so like

in this rp/slice of life thing HOW much time has it been since 8610 was discovered (January 8th 2024)? I would assume it’s been 9 months because the first addendums were made on the same date as lore as when they were posted, so same should probably hold true with later posts

I guess that this would be the easiest answer, albeit I’m pretty sure that the are still some shenanigans with the timeline in some places.

Too much caffeine turns people it doesn’t kill into uncontrollable beasts for about 3 hours.

Too much caffeine for me is somewhere below twice the lethal dose for most humans, but somewhere above the lethal dose for them. Don’t know if there really is a lethal dose for me, since a whole gram of caffeine should kill anyone with my body mass.
