in one story it was able to spawn an unkown liquid that significantly reduced 682’s body mass…so idk if the radius thing is 100% accepted.
It can only spawn a liquid that currently exists in the universe.
Addendum 24:
SCP-294 can only produce liquids that currently exist. Not only that, but any liquid it would produce could be dangerous in other ways, especially if the liquid has anomalous properties. While I advise against it, due to the situation it is not necessarily out of the question. Let’s look for a better solution first.
Addendum 25
It’s been contained in a Glass container, so couldn’t we just make a large and thick glass tank to store the liquid, and then seal it and put it in secure facility. Then just quarantine or terminate infected, effectively eradicating the disease.

It may not work well with glass, but the idea is sound. We may want to use some other materials. Could we possibly use some reality anchors to stabilize the liquid? What is the Hume reading near it?
Addendum 26: As the current on-sight overseer I have studied the 8610-2s extensively. I have seen them cuddle. I have seen them yowl. I have seen them doing… other things.
As the researcher with the most knowledge of the infected, I suggest immediate termination and incineration. Probably to also put the ashes into a rocket and shoot them into Jupiter, where they will never escape its oceans.

It has been reported that he appointed himself as the “on-sight overseer” and observing instances of SCP 8610-2 for dozens of hours without pause at a time, even while they were partaking in intimate activities.
Researcher Zenn has also recently been repeatedly claiming that the foundation should terminate all instances of SCP 8610-2 and “shoot them into Jupiter, where they will never escape its oceans”.
Because of this, multiple researchers have started to suspect that he may have been infected by a mutated strain of SCP 8610. As a precautionary measure, they propose that he should be placed in quarantine in order to closely monitor his condition and determine if he has indeed been infected.

He looked at himself in horror, shivering, staring at those cat ears in the mirror. What has he become? He looked at his watch, 2 minutes till his shift starts. He quickly threw on a hat to hide his development and got dressed in a labcoat and ran to his office at Site Thrivium, sitting at his desk.
He looked at the count of SCP-8610 instances discovered. 325.

How did the virus or whatever get out? It was largely contained by the foundation. I can understand if some more dedicated staff members are infected, but not a mass outbreak in such a short frame of time
Edit: Also, why the shift to story instead of logs? That seemed like a one time thing so that what had happened to the Site Director was known in meta
SCP Foundation isn’t the only organization that knows about the existance of SCPs, including SCP-8610. CI has shown great interest in destroying the SCP Foundation in all and any ways possible…
But SCP 8610 specifically was only recently discovered, and any other organization should not have had any sort of time to gain access to it and utilize it, much less without any reports of strange events occuring

Other organizations wouldn’t magically have access to all SCP knowledge and all SCPs, much less access to obscure/less important, more recent ones
