I’m moving my travelers back to the capital because it sounds like every city automatically has ports. Some new cities are founded. Behere at the location of Saint-Florent in real life Corsica, Bazter on the Bidasoa delta in Basque country, Zubi at the location of real world Anzio near Rome and the outpost of Norgehiagoka at the mouth of the Bussento in southern Italy.

All scholars across the nation not otherwise engaged, 200 farmers from Berpizte and 200 missionaries go on a plague-busting humanitarian mission to Kugelland, bringing as much soap and medicinal plants as they can. The other traders and missionaries go to Phonecia and trade gunpowder for math. The rest of Berpizte tries to invent steam-powered mills and Trukatu works on paper books, while everyone else works to develop algebra.

I await the demands of the people of Hellenes.

Action I: [Establish a big market in Tenochtitlán] 350 people

Action II: [Merge all of my cities (on the island, so without Austahuala) into one big and enormous city named “Mexihà”] 700 people / (or if merging my cities is not possible at the moment) [Domesticate Eagles for communication purposes] 350 people (I’ll make them delivery boys:D)

Action III: [Develop chemistry] 300 people

Action IV: [Develop physics] 300 people

Job action(s): [Disband the Military, as there’s not any potential threat to Mexica in the region]

[The current 188 members of the military will become part of the militia to ensure the order in Mexica]

[Create a job “Builder” and assign 350 people to it]

[Create a job “Farmer” and assign 400 people to it]

Story

I’m a little worn out so I’ll be skipping the story this time. Sorry!

Round 60 - 50 BCE

Phoenicia

Leader: Tekis

Actions: [Global] Federate with Hollow Sand, [Global] Invite all known nations to the Tyrinics, [136 soldiers] Bombs, [90] Irrigation
Result: 7/20 +5 = 12/20, 10/20 +5 = 15/20, 20/20! -6 +5 = 19/20, 15/20 -7 +2 = 10/20
Since you had very good relations with Hollow Sand and got along splendidly with them, you decided to federate with them and unite each other. They agree, which is great news for you. You share all of your technology, and get one extra global action each. I’ll reformat you next round because I’m already pretty tired.

You invite Mongolia and Etxe to the Tyrinics, and they both accept! You’ll make a fair bit of money with the tourism and entry fee, and the entertainment boosts your population’s happiness.

Your soldiers make bombs with the gunpowder, which grant +2 to combat rolls when paired with ships or siege weapons.

The remaining people fail to establish proper irrigation.

Also, you were visited by the people of Etxe, who gave you their intermediate mathematics for your gunpowder.

Your entire army marches within the reach of the capital of Etxe, awaiting further orders.

You successfully do what you wanted to do, I will explain in further detail in a pm.

Your secret action is a success, granting -4 to opponents when they try to do you-know-what.

You fail to develop workshops.

Result: 15/20 -8 +7 = 14/20, 20/20! -8 +7 = 19/20, 10/20 -8 +7 = 9/20, 16/20 -8 +6 = 14/20, 19/20, 13/20, 19/20, 17/20, 16/20
You improve your relations with Tarkahmehd by offering your knowledge of chemistry and cartography as a gift.

The Lucanians were going through a bit of a food shortage when you met with them, so you sacrificed your permanent farms and solved their food problems. You’re now allies.

Despite your efforts, your relations remain the same with the Celts.

While exploring the shores of the mainland, you came across a new civilization, the Saxons. They are distrustful of strangers due to their warring nature.

Your engineers make gears, which are prerequisites to various machinery. They also make coil springs out of bronze, which are a prerequisite to certain machines.

The rest of your engineers develop the fluyt, a great cargo vessel capable of traversing large bodies of water. These grant +4 to sailing rolls and +2 to trading rolls.

You develop masonry, which grants +3 to infrastructure rolls.

You develop geology. I have no idea what bonus can apply to that. Any suggestions?

Result: 20/20! -7 +15 = 20/20!, 7/20 +15 = 20/20!, 9/20 -8 +20 = 20/20!, 15/20 -8 +8 = 15/20, 12/20 +3 = 15/20, 7/20 +3 = 10/20, 11/20 +3 = 14/20, 3/20 +15 = 18/20
Since the steam machine has many prerequisites, here are two of them since you got a 20. You develop gears and pistons. You will also need a good supply of coal or charcoal before building a steam machine.

Your people improve parchments by making books, which are more compact and can store more information, granting +4 to research rolls. I don’t know what to add as a bonus to that.

You send a squad on a trading quest to Phoenicia and trade their gunpowder for your intermediate mathematics. Your missionaries also preached while there, spreading Iragarmen, but this time keeping the new followers in their homeland.

The remaining missionaries and other people were drafted and sent to Kugelland, where they heard there was a plague. Swearing an oath to bust all plagues, your people gave them soap and medicine in an effort to stop the spread of the plague. This increases your relations with the people of Kugelland.

You build the 3 new cities in their locations, except Norgehiagoka because you ran out of possible actions. These grant 3 more global actions and increase your population.

You improve your mathematics by using algebra, granting +4 to research rolls instead of +3.

By the way, you’re not supposed to shift population between cities, just so you know for next time. It would cost an action to do so. I also decided that your heliocentrism became tier 2 astronomy, since it was a 20, which grants +2 to science rolls.

You establish Tarcie, your tenth village and final natural source of global actions. Establishing more villages is still possible, but won’t grant any further global actions.

You develop a moderate understanding of physics, granting +2 to research rolls and unlocking new potential technologies.

You improve your armour by making plate armour (a prerequisite to steel armour), which grants +6 to combat rolls.

Your shields are upgraded to steel, making them more durable and granting +5 to combat rolls.

You create Spy-Away, an anti-spying agency, which grants -4 to nations that try to spy on you.

A police task force is established, lowering the crime rate.

Unfortunately, you fail to develop a better building method.

When you heard of Kugelland’s conundrum, you wanted to help out any way you could. You decided to approach them cautiously and gift them blueprints to the science hubs and hospitals, in hope that they would improve research for the cure.

You build hospitals to treat the sick, which raise your population.

Also, you were visited by the Mongols, who came for trade. You were naturally fearful of them, having heard spine-chilling tales of their merciless conquest and thirst for blood, so naturally, you were a little tense around them. Nevertheless, you traded your cannons and muskets for their sheep and city planning, which both increase your population.

You were also visited by Britannia, who offered their knowledge of chemistry and cartography as a gift, increasing your relations.

You establish a market, which is great for trading and especially useful to others, granting +4 to trading rolls to other nations that are trading with you.

By wanting to have the most populated city, Montezuma decided to merge most villages together, forming one great city, Mexihà. As a side effect, since you merged 3 cities into one, you lose 2 global actions, but as a bonus, you increase your population drastically.

Chemistry and physics are 2 new sciences developing in Mexica. Chemistry grants +2 to scientific research rolls, while physics grants +1 to tech research rolls.

Leader: Kada Khan

Actions: [800 Warriors] Full Frontal Assault, [Global] Laws, [Global] Mechanised tools, [Global] Boats, [Global] Eagles, [Global] New Village, [Global] Trade with Tarkahmehd
Result: 6/20 -46 +54 = 14/20, 19/20 +2 = 20/20!, 16/20 +7 = 20/20!, 6/20 +7 = 13/20, 18/20, 15/20 +2 = 17/20, 9/20 +7 = 16/20
You engage in a full frontal assault of the capital. It seems you were almost equally matched, despite your superiority in numbers, but you eventually won the battle of Babylon. It was a bloody fight from both sides, with 213 deaths on the Mongols side, and 307 from the Persian side (in comparison, they had 412 warriors). You will now starve in 5 turns, while the Persians will starve in 3 turns.

You implement laws, which help lower the crime rate even further.

You upgrade your tools even further, mechanising them, increasing your yields and your population.

You develop rafts, which enable boat travel, which could be useful in the Egyptian province, but not very practical in land-locked Mongolia. They add +1 to sailing rolls.

You domesticate eagles, which you use as carrier pigeons and hunters, increasing your population and granting +4 to spy rolls or +3 to research rolls.

You settle a new village in Egypt, granting an extra global action and increasing your population.

You send your traders West until they reach an indefinitely large body of water, wherein they meet the Tarkahmehd. They were chilly, due to the notorious infamy of the Mongols, but were open to trade anyways. You give them some of your herds and your knowledge of city planning for their intriguing new weaponry. Muskets grant +2 to combat rolls when used by musketeers, while cannons on their own do nothing, but can be mounted on ships and walls, or used as siege weapons, which grant +2 to combat rolls, or +7 if used against infrastructure.

Hollow Sand

Leader: Bizarre Pumpkin

Actions: [Global] Claim the village, [Global] Mathematics, [Global] Better building, [Global] Visit Kugelland
Result: 16/20, 8/20 +4 = 12/20, 18/20 +4 = 20/20!, 8/20 +1 = 9/20
You renovate the village and claim it as your land, increasing your population and granting an extra global action. You may name the village.

You develop mathematics, which are useful for building siege engines and grant +1 to research rolls.

To make better buildings, you develop masonry, which helps making buildings sturdier, granting +3 to infrastructure rolls.

When you heard that Kugelland might have a plague, the most logical course of action was to visit the infected cities to see for yourself. Unfortunately, you got infected, and you now also have the Kugelland plague. The people are in panic, decreasing stability and happiness.

Also, you federated with Phoenicia, yay! You get to share all of your technology and gain one extra global action each.

Deathroll: 10/20
Ten people succumb to the deadly disease.

Actions: [66 researchers] Secret, [46] Hospitals, [Global] Better Tools, [Global] Cure x2
Result: 20/20! -7 +5 = 18/20, 16/20 -8 +3 = 11/20, 18/20 +4 = 20/20!, 16/20 +6 = 20/20!, 7/20 +6 = 13/20
Your secret is a success.

To limit contagion, you build hospitals, which help reduce the number of deaths to -3.

You improve your tools by casting them out of iron, increasing food production, increasing your population.

Your research on the cure continues. Thanks to the Britannian microscopes, you’re almost there!

The plague has been going on for quite some time, decreasing people’s happiness.

Also, you were visited by the Hollow Sandpeople, who unfortunately got infected as well.

You were also visited by the people of Tarkahmehd, who gifted you the blueprints to build science hubs, which grant +3 to research rolls, and hospitals, which grant -2 to the death roll.

The people of Etxe also visited you, giving you soap, which grants -2 to the death roll, and medicine, which grants -1 to the death roll.

I also decided that Roman Concrete grants +4 to infrastructure rolls.

Death roll: 18/20 -4 = 14/20
Fourteen people have succumbed to the plague.

Leader: Wilhelm Von Wilhelmland

Actions: [[Global] Attack a nearby village
Result: 7/20 +8 = 15/20
Your first order of business is to expand yourselves, and to do so, you had to take your neighbour’s land. Your warriors donned their shields and swords and went on their conquest. Their target was the Aitor civilization. You attacked one of their villages, Pamplona, and conquered it with ease. However, this is sure to stir up some trouble. The village is now yours to claim. You lost 5 people in the battle.

Also, you were visited by the Britannians, who were a little off put by your aggressive nature.

Keeping up to date with this has become a chore for me, and it doesn’t look like my religion thing is going to work anyway. I’m leaving the game.

One last thing. A strange man calling himself Orko wanders into Kugelland, and wants to share tales of his people, who he believes he is the last of.
