I’m almost done. If all goes well there should be a new round tomorrow.

Perhaps, they will breach the heavens…

You may now post your actions. There is one global action (such as gather food) or you can break down your actions to individuals. You may also conduct research into new technologies, such as better tools or taming animals. Know that if you post a global action, it will be more effective than individual actions.

A request to Game Master @OmnipotentFNarr: I’d like to change my leader’s name to William Lancaster, please.
Also, would you like to join the Google Earth project so that you can see what’s going on?

Anyway…

Demonym: Britons
Language: Old English

The Britons research on how to use stone to build housing units (houses).

Global Action: Scout The Area For Useful Things

Action: Research boats.

make a farm on the nile river.

Yay, a new turn! I also would like to change my name for the next turn to Montezuma.

Action: Research “Theocracy”

Global Action: scout the area
Is research and action separate;

action: domesticate goats.

Research horse domestication and riding.

around this time horses would be small, and riding them would be hard, domestication means that they’ll be used as food.

I know. I can still domesticate and herd the though.

No, research counts as an action. You can split up your actions among your people if you want to do multiple things in the same turn, but global action is the most effective.

I changed my mind. My leader’s name should be William Luxford.

Also, when we research on a specific technology, do we get the upgrade from it in the same turn or do we have to upgrade in the next turn?

It is essentially an action. You would get it next turn.

I’m still thinking about my leader’s name. I want to use an old English last name that fits the title of a British monarch. I originally wanted to use Windsor, but it sounded too modern. There was also Thorn, but it sounded too “warrior-ish”. What do you guys think about Luxford? Does it sound like a British king’s name from ancient times?
